  • Ontario Baby is an up-and-coming interdisciplinary magazine focused on people who have had a formative or coming-of-age experience in Ontario. Through art, writing, culture, and personal storytelling, we explore the narratives that shape Ontario’s identity.

  • Ontario Baby is interested in work that reflects on regional identity, community, and self-definition. We ask questions like: What is Ontario to us? What does it mean to be Canadian? Why are we unique? Why does it matter?

    By amplifying local voices and experiences, Ontario Baby aims to deepen our understanding of belonging in the province, especially within today’s shifting digital and political landscape.

  • We accept a wide range of creative work, including: short stories, creative writing, essays, articles, opinions and think pieces.

    We also welcome visual art inspired by the Ontario experience, including (but not limited to): drawing, painting, collage, photography or graphic design.

    For submission, please include your document in either jpeg, png or pdf format.

  • We are accepting submissions until February 24th.

  • The first issue of Ontario Baby will be released in both digital and print formats this Spring.

  • Ontario Baby is currently a student-led magazine. We hope to provide compensation in the future and will gift each contributor their own copy.
